Hi BB, sorry I was referring to the original story - I just cannot understand how the story of an animal being run over, caught in a hit running engine - and then clobbered to death - can be funny.

I agree wholeheartedly Dogbert, we just got our stories crossed

I suppose the chances of seeing cobras are quite good, so maybe a warning should be put into the permit.

'Don't stop within (expert knowledge here) metres of a yellow/grey snake.'

Dear DOGBREATH.......QUOTE

Hi BB, sorry I was referring to the original story - I just cannot understand how the story of an animal being run over, caught in a hit running engine - and then clobbered to death - can be funny.

Its called wit, sense of humour and basic sarcasm.......the fact that the cobra is now an ex Cobra is not in dispute. The telling of the story was intended just as that. Making light of a sad situation. I will not apologise to anybody for my sense of humour or how I saw the funny side of the situation

PS
Have you ever seen the Monty Python Parrot story?

Dogbert, you are right. The outcome is not funny, but I had a very good laugh at Mashona's story telling ability, that was funny. Not the sequence of events but the way it was told.

@Malealea

Poisinous: None
Venomous: Cape Cobra, Puff Adder, Horned Adder
There some of the other species which does have very mild venom and harmless to adult humans and might show some mild effect on children.

what is it with some of the wildlife in KTP, if the Cape Cobras aren't trying to hitch a ride, and having a hissy fit when you leave them behind, the lions (several times) and once a leopard are taking over the
ablutions at the picnic sites??

Venom is the general term referring to any variety of toxins used by certain types of animals that inject it into their victims by the means of a bite or a sting. Unlike poison, which is ingested or inhaled into the victims's tracts,
administration of venom is usually directed into the lymphatic system itself for faster action.
