Getting ready for our trip and dreaming of those lovely evenings and early mornings

Our first visit was oktober 2009. Late booking made us travel a lot between the camps spending mostly one night in each. Favorite was Grootkolk ( 1 night ) because of the roaring lions at night. We also had a great time at Urikaruus en KTC. We didn't care much for TR, don't know why actualy? We had 2 hights at Nossob and liked the hide for one night we had a spotted gent hunting for an hour in the light of the hide on tranche very near to us. And the cool pool not to forget!
Back this year in september for 11 nights, this time 3 nights Grootkolk en also 3 nights Urikaruus, our two favorites in 2009. Stil a long time waiting, checking the forum every day and pics from 2009 to pass the time.

Grootkolk is also one of our favourites, always lots of predator sightings up north. Good place especially for leopards. Seen lots of lions there too and hyenas close by. Favorite occurance there a few years when the ranger had to stand by while we packed the car as the lions were walking around the camp at 10am and we needed to vacate so he could clean up.
Nossob is another favourite for us. Seen lots of lions there to and have had a lot of activity around the camp at night. Two years ago we had an amazing experience with a huge lion walking right close to fence roaring all the way at 5am. Most people got up to join in this amazing experience.
Cant wait to sit in the early evening, hear the barking gheco's start the the jackals and eventually if we are fortunate to hear the other animals too.
