1. These stats give myself an overview of species which is most seen on the drives, also help with questions which may arise.
2.This is based on sightings for the year and do not take the following into account.
The season
Number of drives
Number of species seen on each drive.

Thanks for posting the stats, very interesting indeed. In most species a remarkable increase. Only bat-eared fox that shows a decline.

We are sleeping over at the Augrabies for one night before we go to the Kgalagadi in July. It will be my first time to both these parks  I know - but since 1969 KNP was our basis and we went there very often. I am very stupid - listening to what you all write about the animals in Augrabies - I cannot wait. Six weeks from now!

If I were you, Erika oosthuysen, I would book at least another night at Augrabies! One night there is not enough! We have made that mistake in March!

Just to put a bit of salt further into it :) .
The tourist that I had over the weekend really wanted to see red rock rabbit and Hartmann zebra, also wanted to take pics of them.We was lucky to find 3 red rock rabbits as well as 2 separate family groups of Hartmann zebra's so they manage pics for red rock rabbit, zebra a bit to far, but they was satisfied.
And for me a first time that I hear a alarm/distress call for red rock rabbit and scrub hare, sounds are very similar,
Sightings for 18/05
Scrub hare
Red rock rabbit
Spotted eagle owl
African wildcat

Steenbok
Springbok
Gemsbok

Sightings for 22/05
We found a spotted eagle owl at the low water bridge and giraffes a bit further on.
The people that I had was so hasty on the drive in a sense not to disturb the animals, or just to see as much as possible.

In the area of Moonrock a black back jackal and in Kukurasiep dry river bed a genet on the lower branches of a tree, with no luck it does not want to come out.
Hartmann zebra's at Oranjekom waterhole and a Kudu bull and cow lying down in the area of the Black Ridges.
A perfect oppurtunity for tooking pics of red rock rabbits as two of them was so close together but just to fast, another one a bit further and a herd of eland in the same area as well.
Scrub hare's as well and klipspringers at the end of the drive.
