Try the Tracks4Africa map for Botswana. It's very detailed and cheap. You can find the Tracks4Africa website here.

Hi again.
I am not sure which waypoints you are looking for ?? These are waypoints along the access road to Two Rivers.

Turn off from R360: S26° 54.621 E 20° 40.977
Gemsbok border Post : S26° 54.205 E 20° 41.438
Bokspits: S26° 54.180 E 20° 41.432
Struizendam: S 26° 40.489 E 20° 38.028
Two Rivers: S 26° 28.433 E 20° 37.072

I hope this helps.

I have ordered in the US a CD-ROM with the map of South Africa for Garmin, but don't know yet if the Botswana road will be included.

Madach, the Tracks4Africa could be an interesting alternative. Thanks for this.
Already downloaded the free "Map of Kruger" and this includes the full road waypoints.

Michele, your turning points is less detailed but very helpful as well. Thanks for this too.

I remember on one of the Forums somebody saying he got the full road for Garmin GPS, but couldn't find this Forum back.

Best regards from the other Dutch speaking country (Belgium)

Kakelou.

I've been using the T4A maps for three years now and I've rarely seen a road which was not included on the maps. Even the most obscure 4x4 trails in Savuti and the Central Kalahari are included in the T4A maps. You won't find detail like that in any other map product.

Here's a screen grab of the T4A map near Molopo Lodge at the start of the Askham road. The black road on the right is the Botswana access road:

Hi,
Just make sure you buy the Botswana map from Tracks4Africa. The South African side of KTP's roads are on that as well. No need to but Northern Cape for that.
Greetings
Banna

Hi Banna,

Do you mean the 3,520 Kb Map "Botswana (ROUTABLE) 8.02" on the site ?

Warm regards, Kakelou

Kakelou,

Make sure you buy the RAM mount for your 60CSx, because the roads are bumpy and the original Garmin mounts are useless. The RAM mounts adhere to the windscreen much, much better.

I have a 60CSx with T4A and used it it Botswana last year - it's incredible, even guided me to the local taverns along the way.

Hi Discobob,

Just bought the genuine Garmin mount
Is it really worth buying another mount (RAM this time)?
If it makes no doubt for you, I'll do it.

Where do you see the taverns along the road?
On the T4A map of Botswana (on the PC as I haven't downloaded it yet on the Garmin) I haven't seen all this (just roads, not even town names).

Regards, Kakelou.

Check your detail level in MapSource and set it to 'highest' to see maximum detail. This is how the center of Maun should look:

Discobob,

I found the RAM pack B-166-GA12 (with 4 elements).
Is this the one you mean / have?

Regards, Kakelou.
