was in the park last week saw the most beautiful lions near Monroe two males three females and two very cute cubs We also saw a wildebeest carcass on the Nossob road which lead to vultures and jackal eating from it for the four days we stayed in the park WOW the last night we went on a night drive and saw a brownie on its way to the carcass fortunately for him there was a dead jackal next to the road which he picked up and went back to the dunes with It was my first KTP experience and I cant wait to go back Need to see more of this lovely park  Night drive a must I would say

Morning All,

The last few weeks had been a tough one and i just didn’t get to the postings of the latest sightings. The past weeks has seen more predators moving into the Nossob riverbed, not that the predators left the Aoub riverbed.

Mata-Mata's drives have seen some good predator sightings which included a lion kill, cheetah at the waterhole and leopard sightings.

Nossob have had plenty lion activity on the drives as well as brown hyena and caracal.

Twee Rivieren have seen a decline of lions on the drives, but an increase of brown hyena, caracal sightings. Two nights ago the people on the drive saw how a caracal killed a springhare. Lion’s sightings have started increasing the last two days.

KG

Caracal

Tell me, KG, do you think a caracal would be able to kill a smaller steenbok as well? :hmz:

Carcal would be able to kill a steenbok.

Last night caracal was spotted again, porcupine was seen and Brown Hyena.

Hi.

We would be visiting the KTP on the end of May for 10 days. I would like to know if its possible to get some information on hyena or jackal dens and so on in the park.

The last time we visited the park a guy gave us all gps coordinates of active dens and it helped allot on getting to see them.

Just wondering if it would be possible to get some of those information ?

Let me know if someone might know. :D .

Welcome to the forum arrie09.

Jackals are plentiful in the park.

Hyena dens - well maybe KG can help you.
