Hello Jannie, hope its going well with you! ( By the way, I know you meet many "mites, but just for the record, I met you early in January ( could have been been the 2nd or 3rd) by the old gate of the TR camp where we were camping! It's not really important though.

Hope thats an accurate translation - my Afrikaans is a little rusty :thumbs_up:

Thank you Scouter for all the trouble you went through to post these wonderful lion pics and the report! Now I know it is true! Very glad you also posted it in the thread: "Predators in the Toilets, Picnic sites and Waterholes in KTP" !

Hi there Fotomaljohan,

I do remember our chat at the 'old gate' where you guys were camping, sorry for the late reply but it has just been a hectic few months and I hardly had time to get onto the forum.

Sightings for the last week at Twee Rivieren :

Lions (with cubs)
Cheetah (with cubs)
Leopard (with cubs)
Brown Hyena
Spotted Hyena
Genet
Caracal
General game

Yesterday I have done a morning walk, while stopping at one of the interpretative points the back-up brought my attention to a lioness on the opposite side of the riverbed. Due to the sun being on the wrong side (blinding us) we needed to get to the other side of the riverbed to make sure we have a good save sighting. We then spotted the second lioness, while walking across the riverbed we were watched very carefully but had a great time just watching the lions.

Nossob:

Jagluiperd - Cheetah
Gewone wild - General Game
Jakkalse - Jackal

For cheetahs A-MSA, the road from 2R to MM usually delivers, but I must warn you, a high percentage of vistors, myself included, has seen one or more take out bambi.

I will be there in 18 days and will be looking for them myself - and for other spotties.

Maybe in October, we should do the walks at Twee Rivieren instead of Nossob!
