Hi there all!

I am the guide on Nossob and I am the one that leads the trail. I have just come from the trail and I was joined by betelgeus and we had grate fun, she all ready posted what we saw on the trail.
The !XERRY Trail is not something you can explain to someone, it is one of those things you just have to experience for your self. It is so peace full. There are no other people around just you and the sounds of the Kgalagadi and the sand between your toes. If there is any questions about the trail feel free to ask I’ll be happy to answer them.

Hey Betelgeuse-- Great to see you back on the boards and thanks very much for the cool report-back.Missing your regular reports from up north I will def be keeping an eye on this thread and will have to have a look at next year when it is open again and make some time for it. Sounds just up my alley

Im leaving for a camp visit this coming Monday, I will report back on all the activities as soon as im behind the pc again, i will be reporting on all the questions of the !Xerry trail.

I have just had the opportunity to do the 2 day trail from Nossob. I always wanted to see a trail getting started in the KTP and what a surprise it was to see there was one started.

Since I have done trails in Kruger I must say that the !Xerry trail was not only an awesome experience but an AMAZING experience. To sleep out for two nights in the dunes and getting serenaded by lions, hyenas, jackal ect. The walks on its own had a different beauty to them to explore areas which we will never know if a bushman and his family have travelled on as well. In a way you do feel a bit vulnerable sleeping out in a demarcated area under the stars with the barking geckos going grazy early morning late afternoon.

There are just so many things going on around you the whole time while walking it was quite difficult just to focus on specific thing.

If you are a person who loves being out there, then I would strongly recommend the !Xerry Wilderness Trail, I’m not just promoting the trail , but cant wait for the next one to start to get out in the dunes again.

I will on this tread post the sightings as well as interesting aspects of the trail after each trail.

We would so love to do this trail and thought it would be great for our next visit....BUT, that is in FEB 2011 and I feel that would be just a bit toooo hot, so that's just another excuse to book another visit !!

You sure are going to be busy with all those threads, that you have started But do you know what??? It is just wonderful to be in contact with somebody out there (Kgalagadi ) and get the fresh information from a person who knows what she is talking about Thank you Dannie, you are just great
