Is charcoal and wood freely available at the moment?
What is the quality of the wood , just making flames or can you braai on it later ?

Wood is freely available but it might happen during the holiday season that the shop might run out of wood. The wood is good to braai on and also to have a little 'chat fire' after or during. I would suggest bringing charcoal with out of Upington.

Unfortunately you will not be allowed top drive with the 'soft top' down as it will be seen as an open vehicle.

we consider booking for the 4x4 trail from Leeuwdril to Houmoed. Is it necessary to book (far) in advance, or is this just a matter of booking at 2R ?

We did the trail in May 2011 on the day we entered the park. We payed the fee for the trail at the TR gate just minutes before we started the trail - so I don't think it is necessary to make a booking in advance.

The Leeuwdril 4x4 would not be nessacery to book in advance, you can just go to Twee Rivieren reception and make a booking.

I am sure this question has already been asked by other mites but can't seem to find the relevant thread.
Can you tell me if fuel and supplies need to be paid in cash at KTP or do the shops /petrol stations accept credit cards?
