Vetkoek burger

Bert as we speak im eating one now, they are GREAT.

As we speak i am eating a sandwich with cheese in the office

Believe me you must be very hungry to eat this vetkoek burger as one person will have difficulty to eat it up alone. Now to try and get back to work

Eish BB, Im still trying to digest the vekoek burger, BUT what I have heard from the guests they say its worth the price and food is good.

Good idea but not a new one for Twee Rivieren...they used to do a big take-away menu in the Mid 90's and you could order well after dark as well!!

A vetkoek is a fat cake - vet = fat and koek = cake .... actually its a bread dough thats made into a large ( well at TR they are humungous ) flat patty and then fried - they are then cut open and filled with stuff - tradionally curry mince ( not mice, sorry ) - the ones made at TR are delicious believe me ..... and the Kalahari Vetkoek is filled with a burger patty, fried egg, cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato
