Hi All,
Wonder if anyone can help me with the following.

I used to have a booked called the Mammals of Southern Africa.
Don't recall who it was by.
It was A4, maybe bigger (so not a field guide or "pocket book") and quite thick.
Very detailed with lots of info, maps etc
If I recall they cover/dust jacket was yellowish with with drawings of animals on it.
I think I got my copy around the mid 1980's

I no longer have it and am trying to track it down again

Thanks

Hi Yoda

Can you remember if there was a list in the back of the book with each animals weight, gestation and so on? :hmz:

BB,
That's not the book. But thanks for letting me know. Very kind of you

This is it:
Found it on ABE

The Mammals of the Southern African Subregion
Smithers, Reay H N
Published by University of Pretoria, South Africa, 1983
ISBN 10: 0869795406 / ISBN 13: 9780869795408

On ABE the 1st edition is going for £80 (R1,200)
But there is now an up-to-date verion that goes for £205 (R3,075  )

Sorry Yoda, I didn't read your first post properly.

Cillie's book is a pocket guide, much like the local bird books and costs less than 20 quid.

BB,
No prob.

Not really sure what to do.
I can get away with the 1st edition. Cost wise. But if it is a bit out of date, I would rather have the newest version.
But if the SO found out how much I had spent on that. :sniper:
