Stargazing for the Novice
Author: Franz Conradie
Publishers: Kranzberg Communications:
ISBN: 0 620 19447 2

It's only a little book (67 pages) but it's packed full of information and a great way to help spend an evening in the "bush" should you forget to bring the TV :D

Also available in Afrikaans.

And for all of you at home with a penchant for gazing into the darkness, download Stellarium from http://www.stellarium.org/.

Great little programme showing a realistic sky in 3D with zoom and time capabilites.

I think the planetarium uses this software.

Cheers

PS.... We are taking the laptop with on our next Marakele trip..... The kids absolutely love it!!!!
