In Bushveld and Desert - A Game Ranger's Life (C Bakkes)

Unread postby Bennievis » Sat Feb 25, 2012 12:12 pm

I have just bought "In Bushveld and Desert - A Game Ranger's Life" by Christiaan Bakkes.

The author made headlines in 1994 in Kruger when he was attacked by two crocs and lost his left arm.

Has anyone read this book? Can't wait to sink my teeth into it

I think it is a  book and I enjoyed reading it. Another book from the same author has been prescribed in a school and there is a bit of a controversy at the moment whether the book is suitable for school children or not.

Christiaan Bakkes is in town today (Swakopmund) and I was lucky enough to bump into him and shook his hand. He mentioned that his new "Stoffel" book will be out and on the shelves in September.
