Now that is what I call a decent water feature in your front garden FG.

I live on the farm hidden between the mountains and river, no one around for 30 km. Its absolutely quiet both day and night. The night skies shine so brightly in the evening that most people forget how many stars there really are in the heavens above.

Lots of birdlife and nocturnal creatures from black backed jackals to caracals. I wish never to live in the city though. You cant put a price on what we have.

Ouma Biskuit .. It sounds a like a little bit of heaven . Sigh !!!!

Thought I would share a sunset with you all from my "stoep".

this is a seasonal dam that dries up when there is not enough rain.




This is a frequent visitor though.

I am the manager of a private game reserve in the Eastern Cape, SA.
Many people asked me to show them where I work and stay.
I'll start with the view as you drive up to my house.

I get a feeling of well being seeing such places - I imagine there is little light & noise pollution ... ?

Yes Elsa, lovely and peaceful, great to have the opportunity to share my 'paradise' with you.

ndloti....where can I begin.....the brightest stars at night because we see no lights, the freshest air because we have hundreds of hectare with spekboom which just pump out oxygen and absorbs all the carbon. We don't hear any motorcars or any noise from nobody!!!

Hugh, We have 22 specie of game but no dangerous animals like lions, elephants or rhino.

God blessed me far more than what I asked for or deserve!!!!!!

Well where do I start????!!!

I suppose you could say we are nomads!!

May-Oct we live in our own 4 bed detached house just inside The Brecon Beacons National Park.........an area of great beauty on the Welsh Border in the UK.
I have a laptop, and sit in our lounge perched on the sofa to do all my forums posting.
We have a really small garden (SOs least favourite pastime!!) but have blue and great tits and golden finches visiting our bird table, and squirrels who eat what the birds drop on the floor.

Nov-Jan we live in a rented cottage in Phalaborwa Limpopo Province.
it has 2 bedrooms/bathrooms, and an open plan lounge/diner/kitchen.
Again I perch on the sofa with my laptop!!
There is a pool (necessary on hot days!!) and a lovely garden where many beautiful birds visit. (Paradise flycatcher, kingfishers, mousebirds, blue waxbills, barbets etc etc!!)
We visit Kruger almost every day via the Phala gate!!

Feb-April we live in a rented cottage in Port Edward KZN.
It has 2 bedrooms/bathrooms and an open plan lounge/diner/kitchen.
It has a wonderful sea view which is why we come here, and we occasionally see a whale go by.
Again I perch on the sofa with my laptop!!

Now you know!!
