My biggest "critter" I wanted to see was Duke, but he has eluded me and now I will only see his tusks (when they go on display). My family members saw him several times but I was never with them, either not on that trip, or the one day I was as sick as a dog.

I have marked a big one off this week with a sighting of honey badger and porcupine. Aardwolves and pangolin are now high on my list. Along with side striped jackal, serval, narina trogon and the Egyptian vulture that is floating around the S28.

I can only second that Jock - Simply my thoughts 100% but you forgot the Pel's Fishing owl

So very true Pumbaa, that would be amazing.

Having done a few night drives I am fortunate to have seen a fair few porcupines, servals and civets. White tailed Mongoose has also been regularly seen on such night drives at both Lower Sabie and Satara over the years.

I have long had a Blackie on my list. With the increased pressure on this horned beauty I doubt I'll ever see one roaming free. That won't stop me from looking with eyes wide open.

My wish list includes:

Suni antelope

Aardvark

Brown Hyena. Maybe I should look around J'burg for that. :hmz:

If I have to choose one it will probably be the Aardvark. I gave up looking for brown hyena's in Kruger.
