Do we have a batting coach?

Why do all our batsmen lift their hands so that they can glove the short balls that are no danger to their wickets?

At least Amla missed his gloves and took it on the grille.

Eish the cricket :slap:

What to say? The Proteas were properly thrashed by Aus. It is difficult to analyse where to improve even :| Analysis tapes perhaps to help learn how to tame Mitchel Johnson! Surely the high pace alone cannot overcome our batsman? :?

Easy.

1. Get a batting coach.
2. Get a bowling machine.
3. Pepper 1-8 with deliveries of 151kph+
4. Tell them to sway out of the way and keep their hands down.

Finally some fighting spirit by the cricket team.

Tomorrow Super Rugby starts good and proper with the trans-Tasman teams joining in.

Sorry about last nights Football yoda

Yeah, I always thought the Gunners would struggle.
But was a shame that we had a player sent off, which ended any small chance we had.

Not a great days cricket for the proteas, but an improvement at least!
Pity Elgar and De Kock threw away their wickets like they did :slap:
Duminy is due a big score! Lets hope him and AB survive the new ball tomorrow morning and stack some runs!

yoda, I still believe Robben dived

cheetah, the cricket did go a bit pear shape after my post due to the two wickets thrown away.
I saw the pitch the first time last night watching the highlights and it does look a good wicket for batting, so AB and JP has to dig deep. On the other hand you can only judge a pitch after both teams had a bat, and I have a feeling Steyn the remover is in for a big one

Have to agree with you PS. I feel that Steyn is going to blow them away. I like the way our batsmen have neutralised Johnson which the Brits were unable to do.

Absolutely. The goalie might have touched him, but Robben really made the most of it.

Diving and conning the ref is really a disgraceful side of football.

In the other match the ref gave a yellow for a dive.

I believe it should be red.

Also when somebody goes down and appeals, it should either be a penalty or a card.

Furthermore I believe that 'contact' should not be the consideration, but 'SUFFICIENT contact'.

Even furthermore, even if a penalty is awarded, I believe if the tackled player threw himself to the floor for effect, he should get carded as well.

BTW, the 'timeless test' was played in Port Elizabeth as well. No prizes for guessing why.

My prediction: tame draw.

Only rain can force a draw here, wonderful test match. Told you not to judge a pitch before both sides bat on it

Well done Lions, you superstars

Good luck to Ernie for tonight, he has played fantastically up to now
