I think about the Kruger all the time!! We have our Dec 2013 holiday booked and paid for and it is only Feb. We have a special corner in our pantry and everytime I see something in the shops that is a bargain and could be used on our holiday, I buy it and put it in the box and it is only allowed to be used when we are on holiday in the Kruger. My hubby has a side table next to the sofa that he sits on and on the bottom rack of the table is "his Kruger stuff",by that I mean a very used map book,a very, very used bird book and of course the Wildcard and the booking confirmation slip. It is never too early to start packing for the Kruger and of course the Kruger is never a boring topic to talk about EVER!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Tent dweller, we do exactly the same. We go to Kruger in May and September and when we get back in may we start collecting things for September and same when we get back in September,by the time we go to Kruger it's just the fresh veg and beer we have to get. We even buy the meat lose to the time we have to leave and freeze it.

It keeps us excited about going to Kruger all the time.

I think if KNP all the time at work.

Before I moved to a bigger office space, I had my map of KNP, pictures, my first "yellow ribbon", and SANParks appreciation certificate up on my wall. (all are in boxes now, waiting for me to rediscover them)

I find myself "scanning the roadway" for wild critters while on the way to and from work. As I pass over one bridge, the dry wash below reminds me of the scrub plains around Satara. And often I'll see various raptors along the way and, when I'm lucky, a few members of the coyote pack that live in the desert near my office. Sometimes I see a ribbon of bats in the morning sky as they return to the bridges where they spend the daylight hours. And always I wish I wasn't travelling at break-neck speeds towards work. :)

Hey Stark, nice to see that you practise at home!

When we drive in the countryside, some bright spark will suddenly shout "Sheep" or "Cows", but I usually get derisive replies.

But we spot raptors on poles, and occasionally flying overead.

We keep ourselves 'fit' in case we are called upon to visit a SANP at short notice.

Hi Gjorgi :yaya: :) I think the post of BB is tongue-in-cheek and light hearted like the rest of the posts here (and to me personally it is funny too). I am just glad that I am not the only one thinking of Kruger or "some of the other Sanparks Gems" whilst at work ….
