There is similar thread which I cannot find, so please merge mods.

It has been six years since I joined and I still enjoy every moment of it. I hope that I have made some positive contribution towards SANParks in general and this forum specifically. There were some highs and some lows, good times, bad times, a bit of fighting here and a laugh there but I never felt that it is time to leave. There are/were some folks that irritate the living daylights out of me, but I also accept the fact that there are people that can't wait for me to depart.

On one side of the spectrum there are mites that only post in the specialist sections and on the other side there are the brigade. I guess we need both need these groups and everything in between.

Thanks to you all that make me get up 06h00 on a Sunday morning to come and check out the forum. BTW, the forum seems to be a bit quiet. No heated arguments, no threat by the mods to lock a topic. Can someone please start something to get us rolling again How about selling Kruger to the Arabs and with the money raised, create new National Parks. It is time to create a park in the last bastion of the British Empire, Natal.

I think if the mods can vote, you might get a unanimous vote from them for a forum year with only lovely happy feel good topics Long may the spirit of the goodwill of the past Festive Season last

We have been watching the forum closely, and it was quiet over the holidays, but since everyone has started to get back to work, things are picking up fast.

Congrats on your forum birthday Rooies and I for one really do hope there will be many more!

I think as with any family there are always going to be disagreements but at the end of the day its the good things that count.

Thank you guys for the kind words. It is a privilege to interact with each and every one and hopefully we will meet one day. (Wouldn't it be nice if one day, the forum manages to book an entire camp for a weekend?) My father once said that you can always trust a man that has a passion for wildlife and nature. So, where will the next six years take us?
