Mikenick, I will ask KNPSM if he could send us a few picks if he's got any.

What about the people of that car? :? Or is the damage of that car more important?

I don't think its a bad request @ all. I would love to see what an elephant can do to a car. Too many folks don't respect ele's enough whilst driving around.

I see KNPSM is online... maybe he will be willing to help.

Many years ago there was a pic at Kruger Gate of a city golf that suffered a bit of Ellie panelbeating and if it was not for the badge you could easily have thought it was a mini.

I saw what an ellie did to a car at the gatekeeper's house in a park-that-cannot-be-mentioned-here.

What a mess. Luckily it was parked up at the time and no one was in it. Didn't get a picture but, suffice to say, it wasn't recognisable as a car.

Mikenick, these two posters have been put up on the wall, next to the reception entrance at Satara Camp, for everyone to see.

These people were in fact very lucky - as you can see, only a slight damage was done on the car's bonnet.

Hope this helps.

I did hear recently that the average Ellie pushes over 3 trees a day.
At least a car can go for pannel beating.

There is an article in today's afrikaans newspaper 'Beeld' about the elephant incident of 10 October at Letaba:

Image

"Where do you think you're going ?
Mr Gert van Vuuren (82) from Vereeniging and his family friend, Heleen, crossed paths with an elephant in the Kruger Park on 10 October. Van Vuuren said that the minute or so the elephant was scrutinizing us closely, felt like a lifetime. They were on their way to Mopani Rest Camp. Readers can send their stories to mystorie@beeld.com."
