Hello anyone :hello:

In october we are going to visit KTP.
This is gonna be a great holiday and beside the animals we would like to see the red dunes.

Red dunes like the one in Soussusvlei. The naked hills with no green on it...
But can anyone tell me if they are only in Soussusvlei? or closer to Mata Mata ? :hmz:

Thanks for your reaction !

The dunes in KTP are nowhere near as high as at Sossusvlei.

They are 'rolling' dunes, with some vegetation on them depending on the previous season's rain.

But you will get some great red dune sightings, even on the road from Upington, and if you drive the 2 dune roads connecting the Nossob & Aub rivers, there are great photo opportunites.
