Hey v's. Hope everyone's well and coping with this extreme heat!!!! We're already into the third month of 2013, but it feels like the year just started. Time flies even when you're hard at work with no time for fun :hmz: :hmz: :slap: .

@ Panekoek welcome to the student ranks. Work hard and play hard 8)  All the best with your studies

PESETA 8)

For those of you who do not know, I started a new job :D My job description is not as easy as most to put down and everyone understands ... but I am an assistant video editor/media manager/data wrangler
The job would not have existed a few years ago ... but with Panasonic, Sony, Cannon etc all trying to stamp their unique brand of footage in the world, they have ended up with many variations of encoding and file types, which do not all work on all systems  So basically big studios need a person savy in codecs, file types, squeezers, transcoding and overall studio post production workflow to make sure the different video editors get footage they can work with, and is optimal quality for their purposes  After rough cut edits are done, I then have to check the footage and get it prepped for broadcasting

Hey a vmites :D

That does sound very interesting Cheetah  good luck with the new job 8)

Wow it was rather hot a little while ago but it seems that cool weather has come in, down here in KZN once you feel those first cool breezes of the season it means cooler weather has arrived for good. How I do love summer, but this year I am welcoming cooler weather, studying and going to gym is not leaker in the heat

There has been rather a jump from first year accounting to second year year :hmz: :hmz: :hmz:

Cheetah, you enjoy Skrilllex?? I though it was epic

The other night, I heard that the wood owl that used to live in our garden has returned. I was soooo happy to hear it call again, it was actually soothing to hear to awesome call of an owl....love that sound to bits!

Good luck with yours studies panenkoek, I couldn't agree more that being a student is great. Its hard work but its a part of your life that is unforgettable!

Ahh Kitts that sounds awesome man :D I don't know the call of the wood owl, and would be most interested to know! Isn't it amazing how wildlife remains in an area that has long been urbanised? I have seen what at a quick glance I guessed to be a Spotted Eagle Owl, here in the heart of Joburg near possibly the busiest road!!
