The cats are like long-lost brothers. They look out for each other and are the best cats, always looking for a pat. They don't really like the dog cause she is big now but milly means no harm to them

this is Grace (the blonde) and Dusty.

Grace came from the SPCA.. she is a true blonde, looses her way, always looking for an easy way out, wags her tail for a smile.
We know little about her, other than, if I would raise my voice, or hand, she would squat and wee in terror..

(I do not have a big voice, or hand)

Dusty was found in a very tiny courtyard. It was so small that he could not walk. He had been fed.. so much so, that he was so fat, that his legs could not support him.
He lived alone, all day, waiting for any aknowledgement of his existence.

Any Lab lover would know that that is the ultimate definition of hell.
So those ar two of my pets, lovely indeed.

I've got:
2 dogs, Brutes and Frosty.
2 snakes, Storm and Blade - rescued from a cold garage - no food or water for months on end and cramped in a such a small cage they could hardly move.
2 Bearded Dragons,
- bought them from a pet shop because their lightning was incorrect, it was 43C and should be 32C, the cage was covert with crickets and that cause Major stress. And of course poo and rotten salad was every where.
1 iguana, FOREST, she eats flowers out of my hand... :lo
Bought at 4 days old from another pet shop who was planning on terminating all the babies because of dark spots on their bodies. The dark spots are caused by a lack of calcium. The problem is that the mother and farther are mainly fed lettuce.

The beardies and iguana takes up 1 hour of my mornings and 2 hours at night. I love them very - very much!!

Meandering Mouse.... That is such a sad story about Dusty - it brought tears to my eyes. You are a good person for taking him in & loving him. Thank you! It makes me feel absolutely sick that people can treat animals like that. Literally makes me nauseous.. I also have a black lab named Xai-Xai (pronounced shy-shy, named after that stunning beach in Mozambique) and he's anything BUT shy!!! lol He's nearly 4 years old now.

I love my boy so much, I just can't immagine anyone knowingly neglecting an animal, and labs are just so sweet & eager to please. I know they can be very naughty but all they ever really want is love (and food!) heheh - mine will eat anything & everything so I have to watch his diet carefully.

Our favourite party trick is that I have trained him to fetch a basket from the kitchen full of snacks. It goes down a treat every time! I quietly put the basket on the kitchen floor when nobody is looking & then go sit outside with our guests. Then after a while, when there's a lull in the conversation I say, "Xai-Xai - please go get us some snacks" - off he trots at hight speed & returns with the basket - it's hysterical & everyone thinks he oh-so-clever. He just loves the attention! here he is doing his favourite thing ever.... floating lazily around the pool on a lilo believe it or not!

Xai & his besotted owner.......

This is my baby boy, Mushu. He's about 5 years old now. Her's a pure-bred miniature Dachshund.

Image

This is a cat I rescued from an abusive home. His official name is Whiskas, but he's always been refered to as Ginger Kitty, and responds to that only. (He's looking for a new home now if anybody is interested!)

Image

This is my darling daughter. Her name is Rosinique, she's a pure-bred Persian. I have had her for over 12 years now. Unfortunately, she has kidney failure and is on a lot of medication. But she's been living comfortably with this diagnosis for 3 years already! She's a fighter!

Image

And then, I also have a 3ft fish tank and a 6ft fish tank with lots of babies. (Including real babies produced by my Jack Dempsey pair).

I have 4 dogs. One German Shepherd, 2 spoilt ROTTen WEILERS and a Dachund.

This is Igor.

He is the love of my life and a real baby! He's so terrified of bad weather although I think it's only an excuse to get under my desk. His favorite place to sleep is on any plant that's about to flower....hence the fencing attempting to keep him out of the garden. When I drive in he comes to help me carry the shopping from the car in exchange for something from the fridge. He is super intelligent....but then....I am his Mother!

This is Nikita.
Image
She is the hyper active one! There is no way to keep her in any confined space without her consent. I've had to replace the kitchen door after she let herself in without using the handle! Oh....and she was the one that bashed that gaping hole in the boundary wall! But we love her all the same....

This is Julius Ceasar.
Image
He is the old guy and will be turning 16 in May. Sometimes I believe that he is deaf but on a Monday morning, he can hear the garbage truck when it starts up....in the depot that is! His life ambition? To catch that truck and kill it!! At the moment he's still mobile, has a good appetite and most of the rest but I know there is a very difficult decision waiting on me in the not so distant future..... :( (He passionately hates to be brushed and at his age I really can't see the need to put him through it on a weekly basis....so we only do the most needed maintenance.)

This is Pixie....Lady of the household!
Image
As you can see, she's a real beach babe! She owns this house, the other dogs and all the people in it! She loves her electrical blankie, muffins, cheese, TV and a lot of other things. Oh....she hates KNP! They still don't get it! She's not a dog!

I have a cross border collie we got from an animal shelter. She is adorable and just wants to be with her family. Where ever we are, there she is. Give her a ball and the game is on. She will retrieve it till you are exhausted and then ask for more. Her other favourite game is hide 'n go seek. The kids throw the ball as far as they can into the back garden and then run and hide in the house. She collects the ball, then runs around inside to find them. She even seems to know how many kids to go and find.
My cat is a very spoilt siamese who thinks she owns all of us and the house - actually she does!

What a lovely familly thanks for sharing them

Since i've had so much sorrow losing my precious african grey and 7 months later i lost my rose breasted cukatoo - my heart has been broken in pieces. Unable to face my feathered friends again i have at least found that these two critters can still put a huge smile on my face.

Zippy...If I could've gotten those kitties past customs...I would've run away with them..

The cockatoo that I met? What happened?
That's really awful...I'm so sorry....

I can relate...
Asha was given to me after my fiancee was killed and she saved my life! She gave me hope when I felt I had none... she made me get up and gave me a purpose~ She helped me find my smile again!!
I have a strong bond to her ...
