One Photo - 3 or more species!!

Unread postby Waterbuck » Thu Jul 04, 2013 5:00 pm

Right peoples - I was not too sure of where to post this new topic. I also looked around and I haven't seen a similar topic - if I missed it, please accept my apologies and feel free to direct me to the right place.

I am starting this topic / thread where you can post your photo's in which you have been able to capture three or more species in one photo
Some minor rules if I may:
1. No, this is not for the botany guys - we're looking for three or more animals.
2. The animals must be alive :naughty:. Three or more live animals!
3. I know people are animals in all respects - but lets exclude people as one of the three animals
4. We're not looking for something like two mammals with a two-pixel sized bird that no-one can identify as the third specie.
5. Use your own original pics

I can think of some real easy ones - like birds at a birdbath etc. But there must be heaps of good pics out there with more than three species, or with interesting species combinations (what about something like a mammal, a reptile and a bird :hmz:)
I am going to open the account with this photo taken from Shimuwini across the Letaba River during my recent trip. It's a poor photo, but it features kudu, impala and waterbuck in one shot. Let's see what you have to add :cam: :cam:

If you think your picture is not of the best quality Waterbuck, look at this one!

Lions, Zebra and Warthogs, taken somewhere in KNP in 2011 (SO will know where.) When I have time, I will look for more, I was lucky to find this one very quickly.

Great thread Waterbuck!

Hi hilda - thanks for saving the day :gflower:
I was starting to think there were no people out there with three-species-pics. Your's is a GREAT one given that it has a predator in it  I really hope we get some more pics!!

Hi Waterbuck, thanks for letting me know about this thread

I'm upping the ante with 5 species

Shot in the Kgalagadi but I'm not sure if it was Sitsas or Craig Lockhart water hole.

Hi there one-photo-club members and prospective members

I don't have the mythical superpowers of a Mod, but I can list who has made it into the one-photo-three-or-more-species-club. Sad part is, we need more members. I'm sure many of you have pics with three or more species, so go out and find them:

Members of the 3-species club:
Waterbuck
Hilda

Members of the 4-species club:
Hilda (can you believe she has duel-membership :D )

Members of the 5-species club:
BluTuna (I did not even think 5 species were possible :slap: )

anne-marie, we're waiting for your pic
