Panoramic photo tutorial?

Unread postby DuQues » Mon Oct 15, 2012 7:17 pm

I make tons of panoramic photos, up to and even above 360 degrees.
Now it seems to be that I am one of the very few to do that. And it is a little tricky at first. But as easy as taking a normal photo if you have done it a few times. Just a bit more work.

Is anyone interested in a little tutorial on how to make them, and process them on the computer? So from setting up tripod/camera to the finished photo?

If there are people interested, I will be using Adobe Lightroom, but that program costs only about R800 lately. And you need it anyway. And I will use some free programs.
You will also need a good tripod, ball-head and a little spirit level.

Now you want to tell us - after I just returned from Camdeboo and the Valley of Desolation

Ah well, all the more reason to get back there, and Golden Gate, and up the Marakele mountain, and, and...

But, first things first - what's your secret to get to those spots during the Golden hours, hehehehehehe

I quite enjoy taking panoramics aswell.

One of my favourites can be found here http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Z06X5m37R14/T ... ramic2.jpg

Dunno how to make a link, sorry

But I'd love to learn more about them
I try my best and that's what matters I hope.

Okay.... It is going to take a bit of time though, I will need to kick GP from her computer. And as she is my SO I prefer her to stay happy with me. ;)

Hey Duques

I also make quite a few panoramics and want to see the differences between how you do it and how I do it.

Not sure how to make a link but that's a link to some of my panoramics taken in Lesotho a couple weeks ago
I try my best and that's what matters I hope.
