Gosh, thanks Jose, Michelle and Meg. I must say there is something very special about driving that road on a misty morning.

Very beautiful pic, DB. Would make a wonderful poster.

Agree it will make a lovely poster

Do any of you have a sunset or sunrise picture for me that was taken by a dam or river with a Karee tree in the picture :?:
I want to paint a sunset/sunrise scene on a table cloth.

So I finally got around to digging out some old sunrise/set shots - my child really is eating into my forum time :P That joke didn't sound nearly so distasteful when it was about my work...

Anyway - Sunset Dam at Lower Sabie, a sunset:

Grrrrreat, grrrrrand, glorrrrrious! Meg Forbes, your images are superrrrrb, phenomenal. This thread proves why KNP IS EDEN!

I met some Irish travellers with real world-wide roving experience at Satara in September (they had been all over the world - China. North and South America, well, to cut the geography lesson short, almost everywhere, including north and south poles!). They assured me that I will waste time and money going anywhere else than KNP to find the grrrrreatest idyllic destination on the globe!

The morning after I recorded this sunrise from the Satara fence near the gate while we were waiting to be released onto the KNP. And I cannot help but to agrrrrree with my Irish champion tourists. KNP is the ultimate place to be.

(Humble addition to a superb gallery)

Misty, moody, magnificent!

Yet, if you think carefully about it, the pictures are only a reminder of the real splendour – in reality you miss out on the SMELL of KNP carried on the morning breeze, the SOUND of the dawn chorus as KNP’s residents awake and the GOOSEBUMPS one gets in anticipation of the day ahead.

Wow! I’m all revved-up now and Feb is still way in the future…

Gosh, all those pics are really stunning, getting better and better all the time.
I hope to be showing some of our KTP ones in the near future.
We had the most amazing sunrises and sunsets there.
