Location: Milano (Italy) - IT ALL STARTED WITH A FOOTSTEP!
Was just given a new Led Lamp and wanted to know if anyone has any experience with them.
Neat little thing with 63 super White Led's, works with 4 regular AA batteries, 6.000 Kelvin colour temperature.

It is mainly sold as a video accessory but I want to use it for Macro photography.

Any info

I see its been a rather long time since you posted this, how have you found using the Led lamp?
I've been using one since about march last year, found it can be rather very useful- not only for photography but as a general camping lights as well, since I've got mine on a GorillaPod. Photography wise have used it for product and macro photography and I'm quite happy with its performance. There are times when a ring-fash is better suited to a set-up, but thats almost entirely due to the design.

I must admit to owning two of them, but I have only ever used them to illuminate the braai and the dining table in the KNP. I mount them on a quick-release plate and stick that on my fully extended tripod. It is just like having your own personal floodlight.
