No Katy - no news but she did warn me that cell phone signal was going to be a major problem so that probably accounts for the lack of communication from her. We will have to wait and see if it improves.

Message just in from Foxy:

"Just going into Namibia - very cold and wet".

This must be the first time they have had signal since Upington - thought you would like to keep abreast of her movements.

Another message in from Foxy:

"At Augrabies Falls - very full. Going on to Upington for the
night."

That will produce some spetacular photographs for their album!

Hope she takes a lot of photos and keeps good record….I’m really interested in this Park…..cannot wait for her report!

Hello everyone
We back, dead tired, and yes kept a daily record and took loads and loads of photos.
I don't think Penny received my one sms about Richtersveld - an amazing place, spent 5 nights there of which we had to contend with heavy rain for 3 of the nights. Before RV we went to Port Nolloth for the night and rained there!! From RV we went round the bottom of RV and met up with Orange river again - crossed into Namibia (by now freezing cold and raining), found a lovely B & B for the night, next day onto Fish River Canyon - amazing sight
The following day to Ai-Ais just to see it, then out again into SA, then along the Namakwa 4 x 4 route and bush camped for 2 nights, but takes nearly 3 days to do route which follows the Orange River. Then popped into Pella to see the famous church, back via Pofadder - onto Augrabies, couldn't spent the night, fully booked, so went onto Upington back to the B&B for the night. From there to Witsands Nature Reserve, fully booked again, so spent a few hours before negotiating a lousy road (badly corrugated and in a bad state from recent rains - nearly rattled our teeth out :) ) to Olifantshoek - we found a small motel and stayed there last night - too late to pitch roof top tent. Then made for home today. Will be glad to sleep in my own bed tonight although we were comfortable in the rooftop and had decent B&B's. We became professionals at puncture repairs as well and had to buy a new tube for the one tyre in Upington.
Will post a proper report another time.
Night for now.
