Just under 5 months until our next visit to the Paradise. :wall:

Withdrawal symptoms have kicked in big time  ...to make the wait more bearable went through some of our previous videos and decided to share some.

This is my first attempt at posting videos  it works.

No set format just a mixed bag of some video clips of our past trips.

To start the ball rolling a video of some animals at a waterhole... somewhere in the Park.

To be continued......

Last full day of our trip the most wonderful thing happened!!!! We had not seen Doggies this whole trip, where we would have seen on other trips. :o
Travelling along the H7 towards Satara what is in the road…. Doggies all very alert and on the move.
We counted plus minus 25 they were just everywhere and not still for a moment. We enjoyed them for about three quarters of an hour but left to make room for others as the cars were beginning to arrive. We were elated as we thought we would go home without seeing them this time. 8) They gave us a wonderful show.

This particular Lioness was eyeing us out all the time, her head would go down in a crouching position and she just gave us that look. She was so well camaflagued she just blended in with the grass. We did not see any animals for kms, on that dirt road, she must have thought we would make a nice meal.

To be continued....

Python at Mopani just outside our accommodation. During the late afternoon we had heard the squirrel making a terrible commotion as he/she had sighted the danger lurking.
SO tried in vain to keep it from coming any closer to our veranda, he used a broom to try and manoeuvre it in another direction. He could not believe how heavy and strong it was. Eventually he called for assistance as night was approaching fast and we did not feel like having him perhaps sleep on the veranda and we step on it during the night.
Garth Holt the Camp Manager at the time came over and reassured us that he/she would not harm us and would just find his/her night route and be on it’s merry way. We had a very interesting chat about the snake and other animals in general. As we were chatting away Garth made us aware of a Genet who had made his/her appearance on the rock in front of our chalet. This was a very special moment. It looked as if the Genet was trying to stalk the Python most definitely a difference in size though. Soon the Genet moved deeper into the undergrowth and the Python followed it, then they were gone. Great excitement!!! by having had these two visitors for the evening.
Was a great pleasure meeting Garth who shared his expertise and knowledge of the bush with us... Thank you.

We came across these Ellies on our way to Crooks Corner, they did not stop and looked as if they were heading for their morning drink.

Leave camp and being the first car out we were met by this sight at the T junction. The light was not perfect, however we were thrilled with the sighting none the less. They marked their territory one jumped onto the road sign surveying the surroundings and the other one moved down the tar road back to Mopani Camps direction and was looking deep into the Mopani trees, darted in but was back again very quickly, no breakfast was served while we were there. Then the traffic started to build up so we moved on very happy about our first sighting for the day. 8)

We stayed at Croc Bridge for 4 nights. One of the mornings we took the S28 and was greeted by 2 Lionesses with 2 Cubs…they were so cute playing in the long grass. The light was not very good but needed to capture the moment. They did not stay very long, as when the next vehicle arrived mother called them and they moved deeper into the bush …we were just very happy with our sighting.

Next up is a Mom and her cutest little one ever!!!!
Moved so quickly across the road... but we were more than pleased that we had seen them. Even more so that we could capture it, although it was such a brief sighting, have the memory and cute little bum shot too. 8)

 That this Mom and baby are still safe.

Ellies have a wonderful time at Klopperfontein Dam. It was extremely hot on this day, felt like joining them in the water.  If you listen carefully you will even hear the tusks knocking together at one stage. 8)
