Love the eland sightings.
The spur-winged goose looks like it's wearing very shiny wellington boots
Great shots again
, just love your thought re the spur-winged goose.
Thank you for the comments.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your cute little mouse.
Guess what has become my new desk top
, glad you enjoyed the mouse, but I got another surprise for you in the next episode...
Thank you for the comments. Please remember to feed my mousy...
super pictures again
As for the id for your raptor, your picture and the one in 'Complete photographic field guide-birds"
Your picture is almost identical to the picture in the book. So I am going to say what you have there is a juvenile fish eagle. Lets see what some other mites think, I don't mind being corrected, that's how I learn
, thank you for the compliments on the birdies. I really appreciate the comments.
, glad you enjoyed the episode and thank you for the kind comments.
The Meerkat-family was really a treat to watch.
. Regarding the SW Goose, I guess the light were just perfect to allow for the colours to shine.
Thanks for a lovely report, with awesome pics, of a place we are very fortunate to have just around the corner.Patto
I think your raptor is a juvenile Jackal Buzzard, not quite full adult plumage yet . They are fairly common in Addo.
Looking forward to the rest of your TT.
, thank you for commenting and the feedback on the bird ID.
I only have 2 episodes left of this TR and hope you will enjoy it.
I am busy with my Tsitsikamma preparations which will be the next TR to follow.
I think I'm gonna go with Patto on the bird ID!
Cute little mousie and never seen a Spur-winged Goose before - interesting looking bird!
Also think the heron in flight is maybe a Black-headed Heron...
, thank you for confirmation on bird ID. I agree that the heron is a Black-headed one and not as I have noted it as a Grey. Thank you for highlighting it.
Thank you for commenting and glad you enjoyed the mouse and spur-winged goose (wildemakou).
WoW about your elands, Kaapsedraai
I remember that I have seen my very first ones also in Addo
Gorgeous meerkat and beautiful heron in flight
As to the spur-winged goose also a seldom sighting for us and long time ago since we saw them in Kruger
, the eland was great to see again and this time they were closer to get some good pics. Thanks for the kind comments and glad you enjoyed the Meerkat, heron and Spur-winged goose.
