Appreciate the replies everyone!

On arrival at Mazhou we found the campsite nearly empty!

Hi there, MM!

And we were absolutely delighted to find "our" spot available - under a magnificent Njala Berry Tree! :D

Hi there MM and Hilda! A perfect spot indeed!

There are only ten camping sites at Mazhou spread out around the ablution block.

Hi there SM! Birds were a bit scarce this time, presumably because of the extremely dry conditions. On our previous visit the campsite was alive with all kinds of birdies!

The only fence around the camp is two strands of electric wire which is almost invisible - the feel is that of an unfenced campsite. The "gate" was in both our visits never closed!

View to the front of our campsite with no fence in sight!

Every campsite has an electric point, dustbin and tap and comes complete with a personal assistant!

As always I put out my "bird bath" and this time it not only attracted our feathered friends!

In the end there were three "birdbaths" and I had trouble keeping up with refilling them.

If you still need Meve's Starling for your lifelist just book a spot at Mazhou!

The Bushbuck are as tame as those in Letaba and kept us company until late every night.
