Vinkie - Berg-en-Dal is amongst my top 5 camps in KNP. We have NEVER been disappointed with sightings in this area! We've stayed here on more than one occassion, winter and summer - it has always been good to us!

Suspect one was a beautiful lady... And all ladies like to be noticed - so that was our tactic! :cam:

Those spurfowls were just about up to their eyeballs in ellie evidence!!
But then again, a good scatalogist needs to delve very deeply into a crime scene to come up with the answers

And 2 km from camp a killer!!
Looking forward to seeing the mug shots you captured

I am so glad I am not a Spurfowl... or a scatologist for that matter! Much more rewarding to chase killers!

Your backup in this case is appreciated MM - being an expert investigator yourself. Mugshots of our first killer coming up!

Great detective work - less than 24 hours, and you already spotted (pun intended) a suspect.

Wonderful team of forensic experts you have gathered for this investigation. Well done Sherlock

Now how does this case unfold?? :hmz:

:hmz:

It's all about the first 48 hours, billyf, all about the first 48! One needs to gather as much evidence and suspects as soon as possible.

Hey bush buddies. What an awesome episode. I see u found one of the harder to find suspects. In this case the more suspects the better. Waiting for the next episode of this season....

So true - we were really greatful that we got on to this lead so early on. This lady can make herself extremely difficult to find...

We actually had booked a B3U in B & D for that Friday night but I had to cancel it due to another engagement the following day that we had to be back home for.

Looking forward to more evidence!

What a pitty! With all of our investigating, we never once spotted another yellow ribbon. :wall: And to think - it could've been yours! Hope you can visit the area soon - we need as many of our guys out there as possible!

Friday 22/2/2013 17:45 - SUSPECT 1 in view 04:45

We were indeed lucky to get such a crucial suspect so early on in the investigation. Her name: Panthera Pardus.

Image

It wasn't long untill she realised she was being photographed:

Image

A beautiful lady, very photogenic...

Image

To be a good detective, one has to have a good memory. One has to remember faces, previous incidents, crimes and suspects. Something told me I've seen this lady before. Except she was much younger. I went through my files and got this shot I took - September 2011. A mere cub - but a killer instinct already!

Image

The photo was taken within a km of where we were now. I was sure it was the young Panthera who had now grown older. She still had a pink nose - she was still young...

She clearly became uncomfortable - she did find herself in an awkward position... So she moved - and we were ready to shoot... :sniper: (I mean :cam: )

Image

...she turned around, but did not come down as yet.

Image

Was she getting comfortable in our presence...?

Image

She gave us another stare. But her charms of seduction would not work on us - we knew how brutal she could be!

Image

We decided to drive back and change our angle. We were now in the last few minutes of daytime.

Image

A last close-up mugshot, before we return...

Image

For now, mugshots will have to do. We would need more evidence to link her to the crime. Our first 5 hours, 30 minutes had passed. What would the rest of the investigation reveal...

Dear Detective Bushbuddies,
I am writing to you, seeing that your investigative techniques have become legendary (to say the least), to ask about your advice about me becoming a detective like you. Your Report has me enthralled, and the subject matters even more enthralling. Rhinos, especially the Blackie, has eluded me for years. And the prime suspect-you have made her look completely innocent and seductive. What technique, what timing, what excellence to detail and Sir, I like your co-operative nature, getting reporters and gossipers involved too. As for that Pathologist-when he claps his beak, you will know there is much evidence to garner. Dear Sir, what is a scatologist? Is this part of investigative work, or a by-product. Does it stink?
I'm quite confident you will be done this investigation in 48 hours. I must express my pity about the road traveled and all the trucks and fumes etc. But I do believe the location of your investigative pursuits are most suitable to make that bearable.
I await, with a suspenders twanging profusely for your next installment,

I remain

A very late arrival to this TR. :slap: :slap: :slap:
