Our next sighting was a Secretary bird looking for food in the wet river bed.

Even the Springboks enjoyed the water.

'Nat hoenner' - I recall when I was in primary school in the 70's, there was a wildlife campaign where we can buy stamps and I bought the one with a secretary bird on, hence a fovourite of mine. Also at World of Birds here in Houtbay, there was a secretary bird with a 'wooden leg' and he was doing fine. Not sure if it is still alive, though. :hmz:

It is not every day you see water standing in the KTP. Can't believe it is so dry at the moment.

Taken near the dune Picnic site.

The Hyenas were still at the same place near Urikaruus.

On our way back we found the same Lanner Falcon and captured some great portraits and take off images.

My best images so far of a Lanner Falcon.

We haven't seen a Spotted Hyena while we were there! Time was a factor, and we visited KTP FAAAAAARR to short!
