All I can say is thank you for your kind comments and joining me on a wonderful trip.

Day 6:

As usual we were one of the first cars out of the gate and with the fresh smell in the air after the rain. Our mission today was to spend some time at Cubitje Quap. We new the Sandgrouses would only arrive from 7h00 and decided to first drive a few Km north and look for our Brown Hyenas from yesterday.

No Hyenas, but only a Gemsbok,Jackal and Ostrich at Bedinkt waterhole.





Personally these are two of my best Jackal images....just love the comp and stare !





Back at Cubitje Quap we ensures we had a great spot and waiting for the action.

First to arrive were Doves.



Al the other role players were there.

The ever present Jackal.



Chanting Goshawk.



Gabar Goshawk.

The Gabar Goshawk tried his luck several times with no luck.

Manged to get some great images of him posing at the waterhole. (My first sighting and images)

The Jackal tried,but missed again...



A Martial Eagle was watching from high above the waterhole.



The first Sandgrouses started arriving.

Not many Sandgrouse visited the waterhole (maybe still water around after the rain)

Luckily a few tried there luck with the Jackal and Goshawk around.





The Jackal tried every trick in the book with no success.

Stalk them...



Hide in the waterhole.





Give up and relax with a big yawn.



Maybe tomorrow he will have better luck.
