Mom and teenager headed off into the bushes after hearing a while lot of roaring over the hill. A Jackal deciding to kick up some dust as he also left the area.

Image

This eagle at 14nd watergat was keeping an eye on proceedings.

Image

Some young kudu's posed for a silhouette photograph as we headed towards Dertiende watergat.

Image

One crossing just in front of us.

Image

While at the waterhole 2 wildebeest entertained with a battle parade while on blended knee. I wonder where the lucky lady is???
Image

While siping our coffee and munching down n some rusks we hear the feinting barking sound of what we are pretty convinced is a Cheetah! Could it be? Another sighting this year of the spotted one?? Then he makes his appearance. Well coffee and rusks go flying as we grab for the cameras!
Image
Image

After wandering up and down he sat down at the tree right opposite us. Lucky indeed!!!

Awesome picture of the Jackal, and I love your silhouette of the Kudus Cape of Storms! Beautifully captured! The one crossing the road has an impressive set of horns! :clap: :clap:

What a lovely Cheetah sighting! Once again, right place at the right time is so important, if only one knows when and where! :wink:

Cape of Storms, just read through your TR and enjoyed it. That photo of lion with face between the 2 branches of the tree and the wildebeest contest are outstanding. :clap: :clap:
Looking forward to more. :popcorn:

Cape of Storms, just catching up with your very entertaining trip report.

Oh dear, poor squirrel :( I think I would also have been :cry: with your girls. Lovely lion sequence :thumbs_up: It certainly captured the more playful side of these magnificent creatures... and then.. I do love your silhouette :cam: thank goodness you spelt that word first :wink:

More, please.

:popcorn:

and still feel sorry about the little springbokkie and its mom :cry: :cry: :cry:

However, the lion sequence with the powerful mom is magnificent and the AWCs you saw are cuties :thumbs_up: :mrgreen:

Ready for more :popcorn:

@Philip1 Thanks

@Sheenaugh-Lee Coffee never tasted better!

@hilda Those Kudus were my favourite buck of the trip. First time I have seen them in KTP!

@anne-marie I think it was because he was barking and we herd little yelps in the background ;(

@Kaapsedraai
Thank you for joining! That lion kept us so entertained with it's determination to catch the little bird.

@Meandering Mouse

I had to look it up in spell check!!

@Pumbaa We were very sad but those lions did cheer us all up!

Sticking with the spotted creatures we see another Giraffe at Dalkeith. If you look at them long enough you can see the slight differences to their cozies in Kruger. Shorter neck and lighter in color.

Mr Jakalas came for a sip of liquid gold.
