Day 6

Yet another "kill and feeding".... although not the kill expected by most... but a kill nonetheless!
Off course I was too late picking up my camera and snapping away to get the actual kill on film, but we did witness the great swoop down to the tar road, the clutching at some prey on the road, and then the triumphant feeding in the tree next to the road! All was very spectacular to watch!

 well, we thought it to be spectacular.....

Came across this guy, and wondered what happened.... :hmz: :hmz:

Image

and then... we actually got chased by this, extremely agitated buff! He came storming onto the road, obviously very rattled, and running away from something.
Image
He turned, looked at us, by now having come to a stop, and started chasing us back! it was unbelievable!

After about 200m, he lost interest, went back to where he came out of the veld, and stared intently into the bush.... something scared him, and we waited a while, but nothing came chasing after him!
We were still sitting there, watching him, together with a couple of other cars, when a SanParks traffic official couldn't wait any longer. She just drove right up to our angry daggaboy, chased him into the bush, and drove of waving and laughing....
that was that then..... :wall:

much later, someone else was hiding under a tree from the heat....
