Just love the lanner, great spotted cuckoo and the baby spotted eagle owls   .
Giraffe in KTP is also a special sighting I think :hmz: .
Thanks for sharing  .

Thanks barryels

Giraffe are special in KTP as only 18 were reintroduced around the Mata Mata area and are doing very well. They have grown in numbers and can be seen alot further south nowadays

Gavin, when you driving north from Dalkeith you will see a sign that says Mata Mata 20 Km. From 5 km right up to 8 km from this sign, look carefully in and at the base of all the trees in the evening

27 December 2012

Today we move on to Urikaruus for two nights followed by two nights at Kielie Krankie. Four more days in KTP and all of them were good

We were first out at 5.30am and saw a brownie disappearing into the dunes at Sitzas.

before Dalkeith, an AWC :D

14 borehole was quiet but at the southern entrance to 13 borehole we found Tsamma (Thanks wanderw and Astromatt for the ID)

She was not comfortable with us at all and headed for the upper 13 road and the dunes :( Now Miera would not have behaved like that

Good Grief-How did I miss this FABULOUS TR! :wall: :wall: :wall:
Just finished all 14 pages, and what a treat. Glad to meet the family, and I see the photography craze has hit you all big time! All of them wonderful. Love that Ludwig's Bustard. That is just so special to see. And spotted cats, plain cats and foxes and jackals and birds and Owls (they're too cute to be included in general birds  ) and my favourite, landscapes. And some Moon shots too boot!
And a good dose of philosophical and spiritual mutterings too! Union's End sound like the place for me, though I should add that being somewhere on the S28 in the Kruger Park also gives you that philosophical connections, especially when you have not seen another car for about 2 hours or so.
Just loving this, a feast for the eyes.
