WOW WOW WOW talk about being at the right place at the right time STUNNING absolutely STUNNING! What happened to the Ellie??

I also want to know about the elephant . This almost as bad as being there-I bet it ..... munched away on some leaves

Well...the Leopard is a beauty great pics ... and report is very enthralling ...however please spill the beans what happened to the Ellie.

The elephant, meanwhile, had kept walking steadily towards us. We moved forward just in time to allow him to step onto the road behind us. We drove a few metres further and turned our heads to look back at him. He seemed to be a peaceable fellow who had simply been heading for the road in order to take a stroll along it.

Great Ellie. I think, if we (humans) do not "worry" the animals, they will also be more peaceful

LOL Dream I think you and your SO are just thankful he was peaceful so happy he behaved himself

Who is saying one never get excited at a leopard sighting and took some out of focus pictures is simply lying, Dream Weaver

Pumbaa - I did actually manage to take one photograph at the scene. It featured the sky and a few branches.

Just past Shipandani two vehicles towing sturdy trailers had stopped. They were standing side by side, an effective road block.

As we came to a standstill behind them we saw that they too were subject to a road block. A male elephant was standing in the ford over the Tsendze river.




Two more bulls arrived. They all had a leisurely drink.



They were clearly enjoying themselves. They dabbled their trunks in the water and swished them about. They sucked in water and squirted it into their thirsty mouths.


Then one moved off.



He walked to a group of low rocks which he stood over. He touched them here and there with the tip of his trunk. Then he reached into a shallow crevice and swiftly grabbed and flicked something away. It appeared to be a bit of toilet paper or a tissue.

Just been catching up again. I don't know how I managed to miss the Leopard episode. What a beautiful animal.

Oh dear, these ellie road blocks. Very handsome ellie, but certainly a lot of him.

Looking forward to more.

Morning dream great view of those ellies I hate it when those poor animals get subjected to man made rubbish as some people haven't learnt what the use of a dustbin is for it makes me so angry to see it ai
