Hi, last week we stayed at Shingwedzi for a few days. Here are a few of the most interesting pics for those of you who are homesick!

Just to make sure, this isn't a suni is it?

One thing I noticed is that many elephant bulls have a hole in their ear. Why would this be? Is it from fighting each other?

There are more photos if you'd like? :)

Super pics Michael especially the monitor lizard!

Your little antelope is a Sharpes Grysbok.

I think the holes in the Ellies ears are caused more from walking and browsing in thick bush and tree with sharp thorny branches etc.
They may get a bit of damage from fighting/playing.

Hi, we saw the civet in the morning :D It was a drizzly and cool day. He was probably returning home after a hard day's work.

Here are some more photos:

I never noticed those big spurs on their legs

Thanks for all the comments! At first I thought those were bullet holes in the elephants' ears, but branches may be more likely :)
Thanks for the grysbok ID. Rather be sure it is a grysbok, than letting a suni go by unnoticed!
