Have to tell you, 3 days ago we heard the CB chicks for the first time in the nesting log, they make a loud buzzing sound, very strange. Mom and dad started yelling (a loud cack-cack-cack) at anyone, even the dash hounds, coming close the there tree about 10 days ago. Two very dedicated parents feeding their chicks non stop! We are so exited! There is no sign of the second female, maybe she felt neglected and went looking for her own male.

Enjoy the park tomorrow!

How exciting to have the chicks now!!! Wish I could see them!! :thumbs_up:

Yes we were very lucky, if she had not we would never have made it!!!

The river venue was amazing....we could hear Hippos and Ellie not far away.

It was just so hot and not much shade.........this old Pom couldn't take it!! :redface:

Hey Val, ooooo yes, what a sight you had with a real pretty boy!

(I also wish we could see the CB chicks, but now I'm worried that we would never see them, they are so tucked away in their log with very protective parents, worried that they will just fly off one day with out us ever seeing them, I sit on the stoep most off the day painting or reading hoping for a little glimps.)
