Fantastic sighting, SC!   That has got to be the tiniest elephant ever seen.

Thanks OWN, the elephant was tiny tiny and was the funniest/cutest thing to watch. By the time the rest of the herd was finished drinking bathing and drinking, there was a lot of mud around and the little one kept getting stuck. Looked like he was walking on hot potatoes...very lucky sighting. Its one of my most memorable.

"Walking on hot potatoes"? :D Lovely image, SC. It always enthralls me the way the babies walk unharmed amongst the powerful legs and tremendous weight of the adults - elephants truly are one of the most graceful creatures on earth, despite their size!

Walking on hot potatoes.....he was so worried about getting stuck in the mud he was hopping around (as best as a elephant could :D ) but must say at times it looked like he was playing stuck in the mud

Back by popular demand, here are a few more images of the little guy

That trip we can across another little one, a different kind but just as cute nonetheless. We were very fortunate will all our young sightings and they were all so close, made it a really special trip!

Reading people TRs the last few days there have been some fantastic sightings & pictures of lions and made me think back to my last trip NOV '11. We were lucky to see a total of 47 lions, 3 sightings where they were with a kill and a few sightings of cubs...
Here are some pics taken throughout the trip

We were fortunate enough to see 3 massive males take down a buffalo, not the best pics as the bush was quite dense but was an amazing sighting

The cute and the "ugly" but both very naughty. I can spend ages watching these guys get up to mischief, especially when there are little ones, very entertaining.
