While I was sitting at Lake Panic we heard a lot of branches breaking and quickly realized some elephants were on the way. Although some came down to the water to drink

most of them passed the back of the "Lake" and then started crossing to the other side. It was amazing to see how nervous they were and really raced across.

Image

The hippo scattered as soon as the ellies ventured across

Image

This is properly what made the elephants so nervous

Thank you for posing Tobieo....what a special sighting  and you captured them beautifully !! :cam:

Great images of the croc and Hippos's

We missed out December when a Lady told me they were bathing in front of the hide a hour ago!!

The only time we saw Elephants at LP was in the parking area. We went back to the hide but never stop .....may be one day we will also be so lucky...

My memory of a few years back....

Tobieo, great pics and experiences shared of what potentially can happen at Lake Panic.
Some lovely elephant, hippo and croc pics. Just love the sequence.
Some more, please.

Jan, lovely young ellie in the parking area.

We have seen some ellies close by, but never at the Lake and parking area. But this could happen anytime. :hmz:
