Union End, KTP

Unread postby Tobieo » Fri May 18, 2012 7:00 pm

On my recent trip to KTP I stayed at Grootkolk for 5 days and visited Union End. The visitors book is unfortunately full. If any one is going there in the near future please take a new one. I does not have to be a fancy one just a normal A5 note book. I don't know where the used ones are stored?? Perhaps information centre at Nossob?

Here is my evidence of my yellow ribbon (at UE). I was surprised to not meet any other forumites flying the colors. Did meet Debbie and SO (were neighbors at Grootkolk) but they forgot their's at home.

What a great place for a forum meet Tobieo, but the twice I have been to UE, there has been no other car either.

To me, this is one of the 5 'corners' of South Africa.

The other 4 being Alex Bay, Crooks Corner, Cape Point and KZN/Moz coast, which is the only one I have not been to.
Whatever (according to BB): "You are correct but I don't want to admit it".

We are going next month. I will try to remember to pack a book and pen - with all the food, booze, water, wood, hotwater bottles, clothes, books, camera, binocs, etc.!!

There is one more.

Mapungubwe.

Where RSA,Zim and Botswana meet.

Really great park.
Get there before the Coal miners destroy it.

"Map' is on my list enrici.

I didn't include it because it is not a corner, but it is another place where SA abuts 2 countries, as is UE.
