Many many blocks on this road..

Love the lovely road blocks you had, Mel,

and can even feel your breakfast hunger after seeing the buffie munching away - I know that feeling

Uhhh, you're pressing on now to the Karoo, Mel.

What was next? (After brekkie at Satara that is. )

Mel, i have started in February and caught up now
.....for all the brilliant photo's and awesome road blocks (can only be a pleasure)

So nice to have your dad with you, Bet he is enjoying himself

Wow and now afterwards, the Karoo
It can only get better and better after breakfast

Awesome road blocks Melph68! You were so lucky to get a picture of the Duiker! At least you had more of his side and face in the picture. We normally get bum shots of them!

Cute Mongoose too!

The Baboons are quite entertaining with the little ones normally playing around if they are not as tired as these seem to be!

onewithnature, Bushbuddies, PJL, Trrp-trrrrrrrr, flying cheetah, Pumbaa, Lionspoon, Philip1 and hilda you are all so wonderful to keep following the adventures of me and my Dad in Kruger

By this stage of the morning Dad and I were getting really hungry for some breakfast

However, there were still a few more animals to see before we reached Satara

Orpen to Satara - nearly there!!

Even though Dad and I were starving we just had to stop at Nsemani Dam.
And WOW, there were so many different animals to see

A woolly-necked stork and maribou were in attendance


And way over the other side of the dam a herd of zebra were enjoying the water


A lone impala ram wandered up for a drink


Then I got some Egyptian geese in flight


Next we spotted some hippos playing in the water




We were about to leave when we saw movement over the other side of the dam.
Oh how lovely - a baby waterbuck with it's mum!!





It was absolutely enchanting so we stayed quite a while, watching in delight
I got a video of mum and her little one



And on the final stretch to Satara I just managed to get a pic of this speedy little chameleon before he disappeared off the road

Those "regular" sightings are still wonderful, aren't they Melph! Nice to see how you are wowed by the smaller stuff too.

I would love to know what their coats feel like, as it always appears to be soft and cuddly.

A quick visit to one of my favorite trips with lots of beautiful sighting to keep us sane till next time . Just love the little waterbuck with it's mom . Thanks so much for sharing . Now quickly back to my and Hilda's trip for an update .

It just shows, that even if you hungry, Kruger can take those hunger pains away.

the little waterbuck baby is gorgeous and obviously extreme thirsty I love the way its nose is going up and down whilst drinking

Nsemani dam is always one of our favourite places whenever staying at Satara - Sigh
