Our first night, was one to be remembered - we had 10 predators sighting at the waterhole from 8pm right until we woke up (we did not get much sleep LOL). Could not photograph much and infact it was some of the hardest photography I had attempted, due to the low light etc. also spot light died on us and some I was just too tired LOL

1. Cheetah (mother and 4 x cubs)
2. Hyaena
3. Leopard (adult female)
4. Wildcat
5. Leopard (large female cub)
6. Lion (two Lioness)
7. Hyaena (Lioness nearly caught the one)
8. Cheetah (male x 2)
9. Lioness
10. Hyaena

Here are a few of the photo's I managed get

Urikaruus Cont

Our second night was not quite the same as the first night LOL, but again a great evening.

When we got back to camp there were several Hyaena at the waterhole & no rush. So we started a braai & enjoyed the sunset. Just as it was getting dark I went out the back of the unit, on the walk way, and lying in the car park & mom Leopard & her large cub.

They did not stay long and moved around the back of camp (no photo's) towards unit no.4 side. Just as the Hyaena started to move off they reappeared and Mom lay just infront of unit 4

Very poor light again & shooting at very slow shutter speeds I manged this one pic of them

Once the water whole was clear, both made their way down for a drink - another awesome eveing in KTP

Well folks this is the end of my TR - thanks so much all for staying onboard and for all your comments and encouraging words

On our last night we had this guest come and say goodbye (5 nights @ Urikaruus & we had leopard come and drink on four of them)

Image

Then on our last drive out we sat with Lizette and her four cubs (very very far away, so no photos) hunting for about 2 hours - in the end they missed.

We left them and continued south towards TR when we came across this scene (in the harshest light so please excuse the photo's - but had to try take some)

A colared female with two males in the middle of a mating ritual - was one of the most fascinating sigthings I have ever witnessed, but after an hour or so, we had to continue on our way home - until next time KTP
