DAY 17 continued...

Once again the sunset was magnificent. We reluctantly started putting our things together for the trip home.

Soon after sunset Mokala dished up a pleasant surprise for us - three Rhino came down to the waterhole for a drink. The pics are not great due to the fact that I had to increase the ISO a lot in order to capture these pics. This was a very pleasant send-off.

Earlier in this report I made mention of the fact that I was surprised to see Spotted Eagle Owls sitting on the ground in the middle of the day near Rooiputs. This had been a first for us.

Well, recently we visited the lovely Karoo National Park and lo and behold we saw a Spotted Eagle Owl on the ground during the heat of the day!
