We took a few days to relax in the park and came home with over 1,700 images.
This is our biggest sighting on the trip.
The rest of the images need some organizing but I hope to have them on PBase within 7 days so watch this space.

These 2 Buffalo had a fight. One can clearly see the outcome.
The left horn is completely off.

We met this couple late afternoon, 18h00 on 07/12/2005, in the Sabie River near Skukuza. The light was BAD and it started to rain. Louise took the first few pictures before we had to be in camp.
We met them again the next morning just after 04h30, in the rain and with no light to work with. Louise took up the challenge with the Minolta 7D, flash and the Sigma 170-500mm lens.
The old male lion was just looking on; perhaps he lost the battle for the babe.

Bucky
Where you taking pics of the impala and noticed the leopard afterwards

No Bucky, we saw the leopard at the waterhole near the T-junction S21 and H4-1. 2 Impala rams came between the water and the leopard, passed the leopard and only after passing picked up his (yes other pics show it is a HIM) smell. The Impies then saw him, made a bit of noise but stood still. The leopard must have just eaten because he did not even attempt to go after them. The impies were drinking water when the leopard left.

Elsa
Also, interested to know where that big tusker was located.

We found him between Afsaal and Skukuza on the H3. At first we saw only the top of a tree moving like hell. We stopped just in time to see this tree being uprooted by the big ellie
Image
The ellie took one bite from the top of the tree, crossed the road and disappeared on the other side in the bush.
I presume he just had a bad day at the office.
