What's that lizard? It does not look like a Nile monitor to me, and appears to be quite small....

What's that lizard? It does not look like a Nile monitor to me, and appears to be quite small....

That's a giant plated lizard. Often seen sunbathing on rocks. After the nile monitor (pic 2 and 3) and rock monitor it's the largest lizard in the area (max. 60cm).
