Just as well I did,

This lady emerged.



She was calling these guys



But they were tired......and didn't want to go.......



So she wandered over the dune, still calling.

Then she came back to the top and called again.

Time was moving on now, and our 'quick' drive was no longer quick. I was about to suggest we go back, but what the heck, some of my friends would probably never return - although they have very good reasons to do so - and if we get home after midnight so be it, and I did! We stayed.

After a while the 2 'old men' (they couldn't have been kicked out of the pride for very long) got up and followed her up the dune and were gone. Great sighting! It then occurred to me that they had come along exactly 24 hours too late otherwise we would have walked right into them

Maybe they were in the area yesterday and watched us....we will never know.

What a trip! 19 cheetah, AWC kill, brown hyena, 9 lions - less that half the cheetah hit rate, great raptors, Aoub river flowing.

If anyone was disappointed, it certainly did not show.

A trip like this only begs one question. When can I go again?

So this is BB concentrating very hard to get a good video and not having enough hands...
