Justbarb-Travelling from Canada-Mar 2010

Unread postby justbarb » Sat Feb 26, 2011 7:32 pm

Only 3 more sleeps and I leave for Swaziland. Technically I'll be there in 5 sleeps....horrendous connection in Frankfurt. 12 hours! Anyone know what a person traveling alone can do? Is there a train into the city and good directions so I don't get lost.

Very excited to be there. This is my first trip to Africa and truly happy that it's in the south that I am going and nowhere near the north countries with so much unrest. Rather meet a lion I think.

Will be with Curious Canadian's step-mom. Just another degree of separation!!!

 Just had a phone call from the "justs" (JustJo & JustBarb) :D They are leaving Swaziland to travel KZN for a few days and then up to KNP for the cricket weekend!!!
I likened them to "Thelma & Louis" and JustJo said she would avoid cliffs!!!

They are seeing lots and visiting lots and having a great time!!!

This just in....

Joanne and I just checked into Kruger National Park and
have limited access to computer. We had 5 minutes to get to the camp gate and a huge elephant was coming down the road toward us. 6 cars were backing up and we were in the middle. He was not happy but eventually walked into the bush. hearts were pounding!!!
