Richprins' brief Interactive Family Rated TR-June 2010

Unread postby Richprins » Mon Jun 28, 2010 5:34 pm

Something new to while away the time when I should be Marking Papers...

We were indeed in the Park for 2 nights last week, and since my next big trip is only end September...

This Trip Report will depend somewhat on some "quiz-like" questions for it to move along, so that the gratuitous layabouts who simply scan about the TR's have some mental exercise!

There are ladies involved for the first time, although they are anonymous, so behave!

WARNING!: If anyone is nasty, the report will take a step or two backwards...even into previous reports...of which there are hundreds of pages.. :rtm:

That was nasty!

Of course I would keep it simple!

Back to Pafuri 2009! :naughty:

Ok!

Seeing as you are a good person, no penalty...

First question...

Which camp were we staying at?

Here's a clue:

Ok...

Obviously the penalties aren't going to work!

I must apologise to our newer viewers on behalf of these overbearing idiots.

The camp in question is Talamati, a rustic tented camp on the banks of the Timbavati River!

Welcome, p@m, DB, and Pjw, again!

I'll answer question 2 myself, and would say all of the others are equally irritating!

SWNMNBM has confirmed I may continue.

Question 3...what doyou think SWNMNBM satnds for?

(This probably won't end well either... :| )

As a word:

SWNMNBM: Pronounced "Swoonmenbum".

An exact Richprins-to-Human translation is not available, but rumor has it that the word originated while RP and his mates were spending time in close quarters together via RP's last trip report.

As an acronym:

SWNMNBM: Significant Woman in Richprins's life Not Married to RP, and as such is Not Burdened by Me. (me=RP)
"Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors." West African Proverb

Right, while most of the nitwits are away...

anne-marie, you are dead right!

I'm just trying my best, but these people come from nowhere, stomping about my TR, making...nay TELLING jokes, casting sexual innuendos...sort of like a bunch of aging girl scouts at a slumber party... :wall:

Anyway:

I shall be pirating some pics from the week before, just to set the scene, like this one, for example:

Image

It was very early in the morning as SWNMNBM ("SW" for short) and I left Nelspruit on the outside route to Orpen Gate, and passed through this little town as the sun rose!

(Question 4: Any ideas which town it may be?)

The cooler was a'hummin', the birds were a'singin', and the "Golden Goose" was eating up the tarmac like nobody's business!

(Actually, I'm lying... The chances of me getting up before sunrise are virtually nil, and SW is even worse... :P )

Still, the rest is true...just move on a few hours later!

Maybe the term INTERACTIVE has been misconstrued here...?

I've been getting PM's from shellshocked new members commiserating with the blatant abuse going on in this TR...what must they think!?

Do I have a "kick me" sign on my back?!

billyf has one of the answers. :wall:

There, now was that so difficult!

Now you all behave, as I see almost the entire circus is in town...

Hazyview it is, granny, and thanks for some sanity!

So, we entered at Orpen, although it's difficult to know when you enter there these days...I sometimes open my first coke at the gate, but so many gates!

It was so nice entering the Park with a relative newcomer, who enjoyed every sighting to the full, no matter how "insignificant" it may have seemed.

Made me realise how jaded I have become, and...you know what I mean...?

Don't worry!

Will be going right back to Pretoria soon!

Question 5, only for non-previous posters on this thread...
Any idea as to the identity of the bird on the previous pic?

So what bird was it, then?

It's simple, really...I just swat flies while waiting for the answers...
