9. Twee Rivieren - suite

I obviously say to the driver, to ask the children, to stay sit in the car, who replied "Who are you?"
I have "piqued the fly", and I reported this case to the Rangers from TR. This is not my habit, but joke with children's live, is unbearable for me.

I returned the head down, heart broken, dreams broken, to TR :(
I done, the last fire, sorting my things to leave behind me, all that I can't carry in the plane, followed by a good crying  and tell myself that I'm lucky, I have an appointment … and I still have about 8 weeks in Kruger 8)

Tonight I was woken by a terrible storm, flashes of all sides and a big rain. It was good for the Kgalagadi, everything is so dry and especially to extinguish the fire which was still running ...
But not for some people, I think of Dreamer and Penny :?

After about 3000 km in 3 weeks, tired and sad, I decide not to return in the park, the 200 km to Upington, on this straight road with no one and still dangerous, I think of the precipices without barriers where is better not doze  , will be enough for this day.
I have to rest, I have an important appointment the next day, and is not the time to falter.
I rebuild a health to myself in this beautiful Guest House

10. Cape Town - suite

Upon exiting the airport, we head to Spier, Stellenbosch where we go with Moose and "her" cheetahs. What joy, what a feast, I caress, we caress the newcomer Heathcliff, the King Cheetah of 4 months old, and his friends in misfortune (unfortunate because they will never be released)

After a drink at the pond, we go in Caracal home, drop my bags, cool, it was a wonderful time in Cape Town (which is unusual) and off we went to Boulders and penguins.

A first for me, I had never seen penguins closely (except at the zoo) and especially penguins who behaved like little lunatics. We have many laughs.
It was time to go home and get to know the rest of the family :D

10. Cape Town – suite

The next day we go to Table Mountain

along with Moose. Only new things to me,
Bonteboks,

and, especially the baboons…
Image
...

Image

the baboons ... who can open the doors of the cars, and steal the bags, open all pockets to find some food. A lady, BCBG, her handbag stealing by a baboon ... ran after, the baboon fled with all ... credit cards, identity cards etc, the overseer of the place has finally found the items….at least.... almost all :|

Since then, I close the doors of the car, also in Kruger, but I think that baboons are not yet ready to open cars. Fortunately, for the moment it's the fridges, the tents, outdoor kitchens that interest them ... until when?

I have just had a good chuckle again anne-marie when thinking about those baboons. :D I know it is really not a laughing matter but I am afraid it was rather funny. The baboon was not at all menacing he was just a plain and simple thief. Luckily for us I had locked my doors as soon as we came across this troop of baboons otherwise Moose would have had company in the back seat. He knew exactly how to open all zips and flaps on the second backpack that he stole. Bit by bit he took the entire contents out, sniffed them and promptly threw each item over his shoulder. He was only looking for food ..even the packet of cigarettes did not interest him. The owner of this bag had the sense not to chase him and when the next car pulled up he abandoned that bag and opened the car door and jumped in. He spent a good few seconds searching the backseat of this car before he jumped out empty handed. I am not sure how the woman in the passenger seat managed to stay put in the car with the baboon.

10. Cape Town – suite

Then we went to the Cape of Good Hope, finally I could see the backs of the photos received from the skipper Bernard Stamm when he crossed this famous Cape,

A beautiful day, sun and heat, superbely busy and it was time to return, to receive guests of Doug and Michele.

Kathy, the family dog made me a feast, as for the others and we did a demonstration ....
Image
here

Time to freshen up and we started ... with an aperitif!
The guests arrived, unknown heads, only nick names that I tried to remember ... after 3 weeks in the Kgalagadi ... my memory ... was missing all that.

The artist, Doug went to work, and with The Jackal and Annalie gave me a "fire" lesson  ... I tried to apply to Kruger. Some evenings, it seems that my fire was better .... but the wind was certainly for something
I made every night a fire, even when I ate something other than a braai 8)

10. Cape Town – suite

I received a water bottle, compass, CD of West Coast, to make me envy, thank you Annalie and The Jackal, well done, I want
It was regaled, various salad (broccoli etc ...) homemade bread by Michele, pastries handcrafted by Megane and super good South African wines. Wonderful evening, made of laughters and souvenirs, and few pictures of Kgalagadi.
I don't always understand everything ... the main thing was to participate. A big thank to you Michele and Doug. What a wonderful couple
Some had spent hours to come and had to come back now ... thank you for allowing me to put a face on usernames and avatars
The next day, again a departure and a separation.... :|
